WHAT TO BRING
Please see the list below for recommended and mandatory gear. Please keep in mind this is not a beginner trip and at least intermediate ice fishing skills are recommended to ensure full enjoyment. Your Captain will locate fish and make tackle/technique recommendations but this is not a “beginner learn to fish” guided experience. If you book an exclusive guided trip the captain will have a little more flexibility to work with your group but still recommend most individuals in group to have at least an intermediate skill set.

Mark has been guiding ice fishermen on the Mississippi River for six years, backed by a lifetime of growing up in the La Crosse area and exploring the river in every season. He knows the backwaters inside and out, helping anglers find steady action on perch, bluegill, crappie, northern pike, and bass.
Beyond guiding, Mark has a strong passion for duck hunting and simply spending time on the river—whether it’s working alongside his brother Scott in their family business or enjoying warm summer days on the water with his own family. Easygoing and knowledgeable, Mark brings a calm, welcoming approach to every trip, making sure each outing is safe, fun, and memorable.

Below you’ll find a simple breakdown of our key policies, including booking details, cancellations, safety guidelines, and what to expect before your trip. Refund Policy
Refund Policy & Transfer Policies
We are very excited to welcome you to your upcoming fishing adventure! To help you better prepare, we would like to remind you of our cancellation, transfer, and passenger addition policies.
Days Prior to Trip Date
Reservation to 60 days: $50.00 penalty
60 days to 45 days: $125 penalty
44-30 days: 50% of trip cost
29-15 days: 75% of trip cost
14 days to trip date: 100% (no refund)
Trip Transfer Policies
At any point in the cancellation process if we have individuals on waiting list to fill your spot we will refund you the amount we were able to recoup with a replacement. For example, if you have booked an exclusive trip of 6 passengers and we can replace 4 we will refund you the 4 passengers’ cost. All refunds based on replacement of passengers from our waiting list will have an additional $50 processing fee to cover the transactional cost of the refund. If you are able to transfer your trip to friends or family, we would recommend that option, but you will need to have them compensate you for the payment. If you transfer a trip there will not be a transfer charge, but we will not refund any funds even if the replacement party is smaller than initial group size.
Passenger Addition Policies
If there are passenger openings on our schedule you can add additional passengers at any time using the online purchasing process. If there are no places available on our calendar under no circumstances can passengers be added to a trip that has been scheduled/paid for. If additional passengers are brought the day of the trip they will be turned away.
